The Subclass 801 Partner visa (Permanent) is designed for the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen. This visa grants permanent residency and is typically available to those who already hold a temporary Partner visa (Subclass 820).
With this permanent visa, you can:
- Stay in Australia as a permanent resident.
