This stream of visa is for who is currently living and operating a business in a regional area of Queensland. This visa will be granted for 5 years. This visa allows you to transit to permanent residency.
You may be eligible if you meet the following requirements
- Completed your study in Australia
- Currently holding 485 visa
- You currently have a positive skills assessment in nominated occupation
- Owning and operating a business
- Under 45 years of age
- Must have competent English (IELTS -6 in each band or 50 each band in PTE)
- You must have purchased a business for minimum $100,000
- You must have 100% ownership in the business
- Employed at least one Australian Citizen or Permanent resident employee
- Must have operated for 6 months prior to the application

Q. I am a student; can I apply for this visa?
No, you are not eligible if you are currently holding student visa.
Q. I am going to finish my study soon. Am I eligible?
You may be eligible if you can get a graduate temporary visa. Meaning, your occupation should be eligible for Subclass 485 visa.
Q.I am on a Graduate Temporary Visa (subclass-485) but I don’t have owned and operated business for 6 months. Can I apply for this stream?
Simple answer is “no” but you may be eligible if you have enough time left on your graduate visa which gives you full work right and you can purchase and start a business for minimum 6 months before you apply.
Q. Do I need to live in regional area?
Yes, you must have lived in regional area.
Q. Do I start a business with other person in partnership?
No, you must have the 100% ownership of the business.
Q. How long it will take to process?
Generally, 10 days from the time of application.
