The Bachelor of Urban, Rural and Environmental Planning is a professionally-accredited four year degree. It is focused on planning and environment studies, and incorporates broader themes of society, people and economies from sociological and geographical perspectives. The course includes extensive studies for students in planning practice, as well as project management, organizational behaviour and negotiation, mediation and community development. Professional work experience is a course requirement, providing students with the opportunity to develop their skills in the workplace. Our focus on rural and regional planning issues, accompanied by significant experiential learning opportunities, but metropolitan and global planning issues are also essential components of the program, equipping our students for the planning profession across urban and regional contexts.
