Chef- Migrate to Australia
Are you a Chef with more than 6 years of experience without a formal cookery qualification?
If the answer is yes, you may be eligible for Australian permanent visa. Though the process is not very straight forward, it is possible to achieve the desired outcome under the guidance of a suitable person i.e Registred Migration Agent.
There are few steps to be followed:
-
Skills Assessment
If you hold Australian cookery qualification (Cert III and Cert IV in Cookery) with minimum 3 years of experience post study/qualification, then you will be eligible for Migration Skills Assessment which is conducted by Trade Recognition Australia (TRA).

If you do not hold Australian qualification but have minimum 6 years of experience as Chef, then you will have to go with another process. First, you need to gain an Australian Qualification.
You can get an Australian qualification without studying in Australia. It is called Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). You experience will be assessed at an Australian level qualification. If you have sufficient, valid and genuine experience then you will be awarded the Australian qualification.
-
