This visa is permanent, granting you the right to stay in Australia indefinitely. Your permanent residency for citizenship purposes begins either on the visa grant date if you are in Australia or on the day you enter Australia on this visa if you are outside the country.
For sponsors, there is no application fee to nominate an applicant for this stream of the visa. However, sponsors are required to pay the Skilling Australians Fund levy.
You and your family members must comply with all Australian laws. We expect you to work for your nominating employer in regional Australia for at least 2 years; failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your visa. You must begin your employment within 6 months of either entering Australia if your visa was granted outside Australia or the visa grant date if it was granted in Australia.
